CNN Fail – Massive Fail

A friend posted this image on Facebook today (taken from the TV) and I am at a loss for words:

Okay, actually I’m not at a loss for words. There are so many to use in this moment, that I am actually overwhelmed by my choices. Let’s start with how in the hell did NO ONE see how wrong that is and how the hell did the MASSIVE mistake not get caught before putting it on live tv? Seriously? I’m actually asking – HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?

The worst part is, not only did they not know where Cannes was in France, but they placed it in Spain. Yeah, that’s not France. That, my CNN friends, is SPAIN.

More importantly, how could CNN ever hire anyone who didn’t know the difference between Spain and France on a map? Seriously? I could almost – ALMOST – forgive the error of placing Cannes in the wrong place in France. That is still completely unacceptable, but obviously now it is clearly the lesser of two evils.

That poor, stupid, CNN employee. Although, maybe not anymore. Something tells me someone may have gotten fired for this. And rightly so.

Happy Friday everyone!

Lyrics of the Day

“All I need is a bitter song
To make me better
Much better
All I need to write is a bitter song
To make me better
Much better

It found me to hold me
But I don’t like it at all
Won’t feed it,
Won’t grow it
It’s folded in my stomach;
It’s not fair,
I found love;
It made me say that.
Get back,
You’ll never see daylight;
If I’m not strong it just might.

All I need is a bitter song
To make me better
Much better
All I need to write is a bitter song
To make me better
I feel better
I feel better”

Bitter Song, Butterfly Boucher
